
Well the rest is over. I took the last week off from running. Completely. Actually was able to get some stuff done around the house and also get to bed early every night. I was pooped this past week, still a little tired. I guess all the training (24 week training program), and the race itself...wore me out!
It's difficult my training, since so much of it is done on the treadmill. No matter what I do, can't get myself to love the treadmill. Really envious of those that can, but I've just never gotten there. I just love running outdoors.
Anyway, back at it tonight, on the treadmill. Just going to take it easy. I've registered for Canadian Running Marathon Quest. Well at least I told them I want to register. The program is supposed to start at the end of June, so I expect I'll hear from them shortly. They've acknowledged my email anyway. I figured it's a good way to be a "part of something" during training without actually having to leave the house and attend somewhere. The Running Room has great training clinics but unfortunately, I can't attend the weekly sessions and even some of the scheduled runs would be a problem.
I'll write more about Marathon Quest when I get some more information!
Oh yeah, and this weekend....5 Peaks Hardwood Hills Enduro....15K of trail fun! My second trail race of the season, and looking to improve my near last place finish at the first!

Have fun getting back at it and at the race this weekend.
I totally want to try trail running...that's the next thing on my list after running a marathon! Looking forward to hearing more about marathon quest.
