This is the Kid's Cabin Room. They have a cabin sort of built right into the middle of the room. Received an A+ from the kids!
Amelia on the Lily Pads. Last time we were here it took her quite a few tries to get across. This time she made it across on her second try.
Relaxing on the Lazy River with my number one girl!
On Friday night we headed up to the cottage in Muskoka to visit my mom. It was super hot and lots of fun. On Saturday I went for a 10K run on the cottage roads which are hot and hilly (and there were deer flies and horse flies though they didn't seem to bother me).
On Sunday I headed into Gravenhurst to watch my friend do her first "sprint" triathlon. She did awesome in the swim but had a rough ride on the bike (lots of hills and boy was it hot...about 40 celcius). So come run time she was feeling a little uninspired. She hates running (can you imagine!) so I ran with her. Jean shorts and all! I managed to keep her going for most of the run (though it was hard...she just kept wanting to walk) and she managed to run the 5k in 38 minutes. This brought her total time 1:59:xx which was her goal (a sub 2:00 finish). So that was awesome! I told her if she can compete in those conditions, with no real hill training then she can do anything!
Amelia is off with her dad for the next two weeks so I'm able to get outdoors at night to run. So on Monday and Tuesday I headed out for 10K runs. Boy is it hot out there. I'm not complaining though (really I'm not), because it still beats banging out those miles on the treadmill.
Heading up to a friend's cottage on Friday for a 4 day weekend and will do my long run up there on Saturday.

I think I am still sweating from Gravenhurst.
And everyone I know that has raced there says it is the hardest run course they have been on.
You're having a great summer! That was really nice of you to run with your friend.
Sounds like you are having a great summer....enjoy :)
