Amelia's Hair Donation

My daughter decided she wanted to donate her hair. In order to donate for children's wigs she would have to donate 12" (Angel Hair for Kids). She could have donated 8" to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, but they make wigs for adults. So 12" it was. Amelia has always had long hair so this is a pretty big deal....12" all at once!

I'm so proud of her, and she's pretty proud of herself. She thinks it's great that she can "help the kids with cancer that don't have any hair". I'm just thankful that she has hair to donate and that we can both appreciate the children who do not. What a fitting tribute during September "Childhood Cancer Awareness Month".




She likes her new hairstyle, and says her head feels lighter.
