As for Boston, the room and flights are booked...talk about expensive. I didn't want to stay too far away so the room is pretty close to the action. Thankfully the Boston Marathon site has a link to a company that provides accommodations and discounts for the event. While it's still expensive, not nearly as expensive as it is if you try and book directly through the hotel...yowza. I'm bringing my daughter as well, want her to be able to experience it. She'll have to be pulled out of school on the Friday and the monday but don't think she'll object too much to that! I have friends going. I'm amazed...like 7 people are spending a ton of money (did I say how expensive it is....) to come down and enjoy this experience with me. How cool is that! It sure is flattering but now I have to perform. So much for me running slowly and snapping photos along the route...hmmmm
Have a great weekend everyone and good luck to those of you who are racing!

YAY for booking hotel & flights!! Where are you staying? We cheaped out and booked a Best Western about 2 miles out of downtown... close to subway so easy enough to get in. Plus we are driving (road trip, woohoo) so Mark can drive me into the City on race morning.
GAHHH so excited!
Have fun at the Toad. I've heard it's a great race! Watch your step. ;)
We are staying at Intercontinental Hotel on Atlantic Avenue. I would have loved to drive but there isn't enough time, I have my daughter/school otherwise would have for sure. One of my friends may drive. It's a pretty short walk to where the buses pick you up for the start (I think) and that way, don't have to drag my daughter out too early!! Woo hoo... definitely exciting.
Sounds like good training for the marathon. Have fun!
Sounds like a run to put in my mind for next year.
So exciting about Boston! Whee!
