Amazing

After being in remission for almost 2 years....Ethan's hodgkins lymphoma has returned. He's once again going into battle against the beast and will be hopefully heading into transplant within 12 weeks. What does he do....run the New York City Marathon, to raise funds for his Grassroot Soccer Organization! That's just awesome.

He's trained and willing to go. Ethan says this "The doctors think I'm crazy but they gave me the okay," he said. "Cancer isn't going to slow me down. I want people to know that you can still live a fulfilled life and move forward."

Ethan's strain of hodgkins was rare and pretty resistant to treatment. He's a tough cookie though and persevered. I think he can do it again.

All the best to Ethan on Sunday as he runs what we all know is a very difficult distance. Most of us don't have to do it with localized hodgkins hanging out around our lung!

Oh and apparently, Ethan's guiding a blind runner in the NYC marathon as well!

Go Ethan....

That is awesome! Great to see he did well. I've guided blind runners before and I tell you it can be hard sometimes. Between all those people at New York it must be very difficult in some places.

I was sad to hear the news but I remain hopeful. His awesome attitude will take him far.
