Broken Things

I've been on a roll...things keep breaking. In the past few months I've had my Nike+ GPS sportswatch stop working (Nike replaced it), 2 car repairs (and another one on the horizon), my water bottle carrier strappy thing this weekend, a candle plate, zippers on my only two winter coats, and finally the zipper on one of my running jackets broke this weekend. Let's not forget to mention the computer virus/hack that had my computer not working properly.

Yikes....I'm getting tired of things breaking!

As for running, training is going well. Had a pretty good week last week, ending off with a 12 mile run. I'm switching my weeks around (which I do for daycare reasons), so this week will be a very light week. It'll be full on come next week though, as this is the point in training that most other training programs start, so no planned "light weeks" left. However, I am taking a week off in February to go to Jamaica and I doubt that I'll run at all that week. I don't generally run on my vacations, so I guess you can call that an upcoming super light week.

It's now less than 100 days to Boston, but who's counting!

Sorry for the broken things but this could be the occasion to buy new, different and more items. I know it's hard to say goodbye to our old running mates whe shared unforgettable adventures with.
I have again with me the old outfits in cotton of the Navy team (the first 34 y.o. and the second 22 y.o.).
Glad that your running is going well. Good luck in these last 100 days!

That sucks big time but at least your running is going well. 100 days sounds like a lot but will be over in no time. Happy training Robin!

Jamaica and Boston to look forward...let that cancel out the broken stuff!

I so admire (and envy) runners. And I also admire you for the great running goals you've set!

Enjoy Jamaica; we were there years ago on a missions trip but spent the last day or two in Montego Bay relaxing. Such a lovely place.
